Just 3 km from our hotel , Shedup Choephelling Temple is located on the highest point of the valley next to a cliff. It was the first Tibetan shrine built in India and was sanctified by Dalai Lama. It is a major tourist attraction in Mussoorie and a magnificent example of Tibetan architecture.

The temple houses loads of idols of Lord Buddha as well as prayer wheels. The meditation hall of the temple is intricately sculpted with lovely paintings on the ceiling, panels and on the walls. The temple also offers a great bird’s-eye view of the Benog Hill circuit.
